Yesterday, we welcomed the technical representatives of the Municipality of Fez to our factory in Barbate, after successfully completing a large-scale lighting project that involved the delivery of 16,000 luminaires, entirely manufactured at our facilities.
At LEC, we are proud to have completed this project on time and with the highest quality standards, especially within the framework of an international tender that required 100% Spanish manufacturing—a requirement we met entirely with our own means.
As Isabel Guerrero, Deputy General Manager at LEC, explains:
“For those of us who are committed to keeping national industry alive, it’s not always easy to find reasons to keep pushing forward. But projects like this one, which we managed to manufacture in record time at our Barbate plant, give us back all the energy.
In the end, it’s about taking pride in what you do and in what you contribute to society every single day. It’s not just about manufacturing at LEC; it’s about doing it with raw materials sourced as locally as possible, prioritizing national suppliers whenever we can. And we succeed.
We’re proud to support the local economy, reduce our carbon footprint, and help ensure that, in the future, our children have real opportunities to build a career in the industrial sector right here in Spain.”
We thank the Municipality of Fez for their visit and their trust, and we reaffirm our commitment to continue manufacturing smart lighting technology in Spain—guided by quality, sustainability, and a strong industrial vocation.
